A river of words flowed between us. |
Oology (or oölogy) is a branch of ornithology studying bird eggs, nests and breeding behavior. The word is derived from the Greek "oion", meaning egg. Oology can also refer to the hobby of collecting wild birds' eggs, sometimes called egg collecting, bird-nesting or egging. Within the OASIS, it referred to those people who searched for Halliday's Hidden Egg.
Like gunters these people constantly studied the ins and outs of Halliday and the things contained in Anorak's Almanac. But unlike gunters Oologists were hired and paid by IOI and were in the pursuit of the Halliday's easter egg for them.
