Sixers
The Sixers (Refered to as Sux0rz in the book) are a section of IOI who concentrate on completing Halliday's Easter Egg Hunt.
They are called Sixers because each employee has an employee number and avatar name that is six digits long and starts with the number six. The Sixers are contract-bound employees who are provided with paychecks, food, lodging, retirement, etc. All Sixers, regardless of gender, take on an identical male avatar within the OASIS.
They are hated by gunters because they have seemingly endless funding to cheat to get the egg. The Sixers' main goal is to find the egg for IOI so that IOI can take control of the Oasis.
Pop culture reference: The term "Sixer" may be a reference to a classic British TV SF show The Prisoner, where the main character of the Prisoner is labeled "number 6" and remarks "I AM NOT A NUMBER, I AM A FREE MAN". In Ready Player One, Parzival states that Sixers are just numbers.
