Tron (stylized as TRON) is a 1982 science fiction film directed by Steven Lisberger. The film stars Jeff Bridges, Bruce Boxleitner, Cindy Morgan, Dan Shor, and David Warner. The story follows programmer Kevin Flynn (Bridges) as he tries to escape a computer system after being digitized by the oppressive Master Control Program (Warner).
While in the Basement, Parzival plays (and beats) Aech at three rounds of Tron: Deadly Discs, a video game based on Tron that was released as a coin-op and for the Atari 2600 and the Intellivision (the two play the Intellivision version).
Additionally, a poster for Tron appears in the bedroom of James Halliday's childhood home on Middletown in the OASIS.
